Maddy von Meese is a  withdrawn 5-6 year old German Shepherd with we think a bit of Husky thrown in. Some dogs can lose a home and are resilient some just aren’t like Maddy. In the huge noisy kennel, she stays in her run. She no longer wants to go on walks and sticks her head in a corner so it makes it harder to get her leash on.  We feel her pain, she just wants to disappear. She doesn’t want to be petted or touched, unless you give her lots of time and she will come to you.  She snaps to let you know to just leave her be in her misery. She doesn’t want other dogs in her face and would probably be okay with a male who didn’t get in her face better by herself. What she needs is a quiet home, just with a few people no kids and let her sleep and go in and outside and get some fresh air and find her joy in life again. We know taking on Maddy would take a special person for many reasons, most kind hearted people want to touch and kiss a sad dog, but with Maddy it has to be slow, letting Maddy decide when she is ready to put her past behind her. Are there any angels out there who would even foster Maddy? Our hearts are breaking for her!
